Balance & Neroli

To the Women of Westwind~

1 Corinthians 12 & 13

This was created with you in mind. Specifically for your weekend.

Balance.

By definition:

  • (noun) A condition in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions.

  • (verb) Keep or put something in a steady position so it does not fall.

All of the empowerment, gifts, manifestations or parts of the body are given to use in total balance, to be used and observed in balance.

Let the single oils blended together guide you to remember the importance of you in God's larger story. Not anyone one gift or part of the body is of any less or greater importance.

Spruce: Open to receive and to give

Ho Wood: Creates feeling of peace and gentleness

Frankincense: Enhances communication with our Father

Blue Tansy: Promotes self-control

Blue Chamomile: Ease nervous tension & elmiates emotion tension. Gives clear understanding of God's work, energies and laws

Osmanthus: Rare and most expenseive perfumes. Known to make everyone smile

Close your eyes and think of the massiveness of the trees reaching toward the Father. Allow yourself to see the roots of the trees. The structure you see above the ground, has the same root system, and more, below ground. See your own rooting down like these trees. You are balanced and stable based on the unseen, not the seen. Now, see the beauty of which these oils come from. May you cast a shadow of peace, joy from beauty of your blossoms and may the fruit produced be nourshment to all those around you. You are grounded in truth. You are forever stable. You are of purpose.

If one of these individual oils decided not to show up for your use today, the entire blend would not serve you the same. Ask God to shine light in spaces that He has planned for you in which you may not be showing up. The body of Christ is incomplete without your functional place.

Neroli

Neroli is one of the highest vibration oils which gives us insight into the power of this precious blossom oil. Neroli is most significant use is in support of us emotionally. Supportive of feelings of stress, anger, impatience, and unkindness. Through the purity of love and peace, Neroli allows clarity and light to shine in spaces of old hurts or wounds.

When we think about relationship with each other and love in todays definition, we are drawn to fairy tales and seeing love through ‘rose colored glasses’. Yet, real, true and committed love might give us another picture. Might I suggest we make a shift to ‘orange colored glasses’. The color orange represents understanding, happiness and helps aid decision making. Thinking of the color orange in nature we turn to the season of Fall, encouraging a letting go. When letting go, we can no longer hold on to irritation or resentment. By no mistake, Neroli, or Citrus x aurantium, is the blossom from the bitter orange tree. I just love the smallest details God has hidden in everything, all around us.

In Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, he gave us instruction and guidance to living according to Jesus’ example. 1 Corinthians 13 gives clear instruction of the greatest commandment, to love. We are reminded in v8 we are reminded that wisdom, knowledge, and tongues will pass away, all gifts discussed in the previous chapter 12, but the only thing that remains is love. Just as this oil dissipates into thin air after our senses and self benefits from it, so will we from this earth. But our love, given first by our Father, remains.

May this oil help all of us to continually seek to love each other with agape, enduring love by example of our loving Father.

Love & Light
